yesterday I was disheartend, my site

http://www.dietcokementoschallenge.com was not to be found in google in the first 1000 results for any of my keywords

that was yesterday.. now onto the good news..

today ,, for the keywords

coke mentos see here -> results yep.. right on the front page of google competing against over 4 million others

im actually targeting the keywords
diet coke and mentos
diet coke and mentos video
diet coke mentos

im sure these terms will get my site listed on the front page soon.

listed on page 1 in google , with over 4 million competiting pages!!

that is much faster than I ever imagined.. now over the next couple of weeks as the back links come in .. it will rise higher on the first page.

So what this experiment means to you as adsenes publishers..

you can duplicate exactly what I have done.. to compete well in any market. or search term that has up to 4 million plus results in google. by doing exactly what I have listed in these threads etc.


so, all in all its working very nicely.. first page on video.google.com and first page in google.com, first page in video.yahoo.com

next week i'll be adding these videos to youtube.com and another i cannot remember just now. to give more links to my original site plus traffic from them aswell..

another update..

one of the videos i made for this site has had over 20,000 views so far.. getting around 1000 views per day and growing.. incredible huh..

the reason is two fold

1 ive put a lot of links to these videos.
2. the video gets viewed a lot, as its ranked on page one.. the more views it gets the better the ranking aswell..

On a side note: eepybird.com the originator of this new fad on the internet is not removed from google.com ??? very strange huh.. this site is only a few pages.. each with its own content, though googles algo has picked it up as a spam site.

my thinking is, that its gained too many backlinks too fast... well too fast for their algo etc, though I could be wrong.

I was watching your videos, and was curious what kind of delivery device you were using to introduce the mentos to the diet coke. I've been trying to think of a good one myself, and can't really figure one out, but it seems you have. Please share.

ok.. finally getting "some" clicks from the site, heres the stats


1,721 19 1.10% $3.29 $5.67

though I havent optimised the pages for better google ads, which I'll do over the next couple of days..

you see each video is displayed on its own unique webpage..

to get the better adds to display, I will put the keywords i want the media bot to focus on , in the name of each page.

e.g. free-music-downloads.html this page will then present free music google ads, plus i'll put free music text on the page also..

then I'll see if I can get the ctr higher than 1.3%

this has increased my CTR by 200 % now getting around $15 per day or more.


heres the interesting stats..

since I started this website.. ive had over 177 thousand video views and 3000 downloads..

quite amazing huh..

now I see one guy in video.google.com in his transcript area is promoting another of his video's at www.revved.com this site puts advertising at the end of your video session and does a 50/50 deal with the video supplier.. so theres another backlink and possible revenue,

So i'll try this method aswell and see how it goes.

this video, is one of the many cuts , or failed experiments, e.g we video'd everything.. like 10 bad ones for one good one.. but I added ALL video content.. and most of the highest viewed videos are from these cuts.

go figure..

but two months after creating this video.. it appears on the front page.. thus sharing PR .. thus raising the PR of the video url.. thus exposing my sites URL even more.. plus sharing the PR to my website

Currently im getting around 70 to 80,000 video views per DAY

im telling you .. Video and Adsense is the way of the future..

Here is a question.

What will be the next wave of fad videos? How long will the coke and mentos last? It might last another year or two as long as there are still millions that have never been to google or youtube videos.

anything funny or entertaining has a chance of getting ranked high in these video sites.

diet coke mentos videos and other funny videos ive collected..

Im paying a young guy from squash a buck a funny video, his job is to source funny videos from his friends..

Last night he gave me a DVD with 2 gigs of funny videos..

ever seen metacafe's site. Many of the videos show views as being in the multi millions. I find this hard to believe when many of them have tons more views than youtube or google...I guess they also have their own videos so maybe that says something.

Anyway, showing multi-millions views would be lying if untrue but also good yet unethical marketing.

It still has PR links to it, but it isnt showing up, no PR at all. Any idea why?

Im thinking this site got way too many links way too fast in google.com

and the killer is.. 95% of these were from video.google.com over 3000 if I remember correctly
